With the Micra, you have the scissors, a knife, a flat blade, a pair of (questionably useful tweezers), a file and fingernail tool. After some time and consideration, I've decided the Micra is the best dedicated multi-tool scissor tool. It took a while, but I eventually found and ordered another LM Micra. It worked "okay", but none of the other tools worked very well. Unlike most of the others, which were redesigns of existing multitools, the Real Avid AR15 tool was designed specifically to be an AR15 multitool. The Real Avid AR15 Tool is, in my opinion, the best all-around AR15 multitool on the market. Then, as an alternate, I got a Gerber splice, which also has scissors in place of tiny pliers. Real Avid is a US company and they understand shooting and shooters. My first attempt at a solution was the Leatherman Micra, but someone stole it (that's how useful it was!). Being placed in a price range of under 40 the Leatherman Rev is the cheapest of the three entry-level multi-tools I’m recommending. It has a great pair of spring-loaded pliers but the plier handles are really far apart when open. And the Leatherman Rev, Side Kick and Wingman all fall into this category and each of them has only small differences in tool sets where personal choice will play the deciding factor. Take, for example, the Gerber Suspension. They are easier to hold in the hands, and the tools are more accessible. The Leatherman Wave has a pair of decent scissors, but for me there was still a need for a small pair of dedicated scissors. Compared to Gerber, Leatherman products are much sleeker. Probably all of us have a Victorinox "classic", and it has a tiny pair of scissors which are very useful (as is the toothpick and tweezers, among other things). So, having one on a multi-tool is also useful. The leatherman is more practical, has better tools, better blades, better pliers. Regular scissors are one of the most useful kitchen tools, office tools and just general tools. The gerber multiplier is a tank of a multi tool, I used one in the military and in commercial HVACR as a civilian, I handed it to a coworker one day and he brake the blade so I bought a leatherman wave+ and I dont see myself going back. Sure, a knife will work in a pinch, but there are just times when you need a pair of scissors to accurately cut something. To me, one of the most valuable and useful tools you can ever have is a pair of scissors.
